Welcome to St. Mary’s, Ellenbrook and St. Andrew’s, Boothstown, which is a long title for our two churches.

We are part of the Worsley St. Mark’s Team Ministry, belonging to the Church of England in the Diocese of Manchester. The diocesan vision is that the church should be a worshipping, growing and transforming Christian presence at the heart of every community.

St. Mary’s is the village church, often known affectionately as Ellenbrook church. She was built in 1723 and consecrated in 1725, but our history books tell us that there has been a Christian place of worship on this site for 800 years.

St. Andrew’s is what is known as ‘a church in school’, with no specific building of its own but which has found its home for the last 35 years inside St. Andrew’s School on Vicars Hall Lane.
