“I consider myself to be primarily a member of St Andrew's Church in Boothstown. Only recently, since St Andrew's started having monthly services rather than weekly, have I attended St Mary's regularly.

Before retiring in the summer of 2008 from my post as a secondary school deputy head, I spent 34 years teaching. Since retirement I have involved myself more fully in church life, sitting on various committees, PCC, DCC, other smaller sub-committees, Deanery Synod and Churches Together in Boothstown. I also help to lead our monthly Messy Church. I am a baptism visitor and  a foundation governor at St Andrew's CE Primary School.

I am married to Michael and have two daughters. I try to keep fit by walking and going to the gym. I enjoy singing, knitting, sewing and reading. I am an avid football fan.

Children's work is my main passion which is why I am involved with the Children and Young People's Committee as well as helping to run Messy Church. I enjoy the planning and organising aspects of the work as well as the practical side. As chair of Churches Together in Boothstown, I am determined that this organisation will help to strengthen the bonds between our different denominations and ensure that we achieve something very positive by working together.”
